A Week of Women in Food & Bev June 1 - 7

You know how the best things just happen?

That amazing apartment you found on Hanover your first week in Richmond and have lived in ever since, or that day you just happened to be downtown and got to be an extra on Homeland. You didn’t have to force it, the universe put it in your lap. It’s called kismet, and it’s exactly what happened when two “Women in Food“ panel discussions were scheduled for the very same week in June.

It was Real Local RVA Executive Director Beth Furgurson who first noticed the connection, and all it took was a few emails between Beth, Shannon Siriano Greenwood of Rebelle, Robey Martin, and myself (hi, Stephanie Ganz here!), and soon a whole week of awesomeness dedicated to the women who make Richmond’s food & beverage scene spectacular was born.

Curious about the women who are contributing to our local food community? Folks like Sally Schwitters, Carena Ives, and Alex Graf? Always had a burning question for Kelli Lemon or Brittanny Anderson? Wanna know more about the women shaping the whiskey world? THIS IS YOUR WEEK.
